"On a Stick" Cat Toys
Ideas for making cat toys featuring the classic string-and-stick setup
Stick and string cat toy
One of the most classic cat toys is the "string-and-stick" setup, which is one of the easiest toys to make. All you need is a stick, a string, and optionally something to tie to the other end. Some things you might use for a stick are:

There are also many options for the string portion of the toy and how to attach it. Whether you choose drilling a hole, stapling, gluing, or tying will depend on what you think will work best for your particular materials. You can also add one string or multiple strings.
